Hello All,
I have just posted up my "first" workings of the Kidson's logo designs. I'm sure there are many more alterations to come. The joys. ^_^
Anyhow, If you have a chance have a look and let me know what you think. Thoughts? Opinions? Feedback? All helps.
On another note, If any of you are struggling with getting the right fonts you should try one of the following:
http://www.dafont.com/
http://www.1001freefonts.com/
http://www.urbanfonts.com/
http://www.fontspace.com/
My personal favorite is "Dafont" but they are all good and can give you something really nice to work with to all that little something special to your logo.
Hope the designs are all coming along. Let me know if you'd like me to have a look. ^_^

Logos for Inspiration
This logo i beleive is simple yet creative. I like the use of the minimal aproach which gets straight to the point they are trying to make.
With this logo i like how they have used an image that looks like two things. From one angle it looks like a skate board though looking at it quickly you could also say that it looks like an image of a van.
This logo is for a BMX cycle company called 'Eastern'. I like how they have made the logo look like both an E and a B. The use of the grass and dirt in the text i beleive is effective for the fact that BMX can be riden both on dirt and on grass.
This is the logo for a racing and clothing company called 'Fox Riders Co' i really like the bright colour scheme and the text they have used in this logo.
The final logo i have chosen is this 'nike' logo. I really like the simplicity of this logo. Again it gets straight to the point and i believe that simple logos seem to be the most effective.
Some fonts i think would work well
Arista: its simple, curvy, flowy, but impactive. Here is a revised version, but i think the first one would work better.
I dont think Electric Feel could work, but for some reason i like it.
Swinkydad has a nice bold, simple feel to it.
this one is a bit more curvy

Logo Inspiration
Strictly BMX have very suitable branding for the company. I like that their logo doesn't have a typical cycling element with it. It demonstrates that it could be possible to design a logo that is appealing without making it stereo typical. The client has been exposed to the world community of cycles and i think that he would appreciate something unique if the design is well done. I like the poster that the logo is on, it is simple and effective.
I Really like this logo for the Bike Shed Mortdale. The business has since changed their logo but i believe it is memorable and appealing. This log might not appeal to all ages however, older people might not like it as much as younger people. I think it is possible to use a similar theme as this design but work it so it appeals to a wider demographic.
Pilgrim BMX logo is quite appealing, it is simple but has as a neat style to it that gives it the 3D look. Its just inspiration, I like it.
I just like the Style of this logo, I know its not related to Cycling but it is inspiration of giving objects form using perspective and negative space of simple objects.

Giant Bikes is one of the biggest cycle manufacturers in the world. I like the simplicity of the logo and the subtle curve underneath the G in the wording. It is bold and stands out, I think we can learn a lot from the simplicity and effectiveness of this logo.
I like this logo as it is just type. Clever but simple. With the colour scheme you could really change it to what ur preference is. Would fit on jerseys quite easy.
Again with this one it is just type. Just with a bit of tweaking they have made it to a nice looking logo. The colour again, you can change it to your preference.
This one I like as they have the K as the main focus.. Along side with nice tidy but trendy text. Could also work in a variety of colours.
They have incorporated a bike in this logo. Its quiet subtle but clever. Not a fan of the colours used, might be a personal preference. Its a catchy and clever logo.
This logo reminds me alongs the line of bmx riding. I find it young and trendy. Will work well in both colours and black and white.
